Charles Darwin 200 – Darwin in Australia

January 4, 2009

2009 is a celebration of the birth of Charles Darwin in 1809, and of 150 years since the publication of “The Origin of Species by means of Natural Selection”. His birthday is 12 February

Leading up to February, Bruce Reyburn sets out to explore of some of the issues relating to the time Darwin spent in Australia (during the voyage of the Beagle) and to probe some of the shortcomings of Darwinism in relation to First Peoples from an alternative perspective.

This is an exploration seeking to raise issues without claims of providing lasting solutions.
